Ok. This one didn't stand the test of time too well. Story-wise, we have seen tons of underdogs done well. In fact, it could have very well been an Adam Sandler's movie. The fight scenes are poor by today's standard. But it was made in 1976, so I understand and respect it for what it was.

Besides Rambo (THE FIRST ONE), I must say Slyvester did pretty well as the protagonist. One of the rare moments where you put 'good acting' and Stallone in the same sentence. Another point to note, I think he's much beefier now than back then. In fact, I don't think he's all that muscular in the movie. Every Tom, Dick and Harry in Hollywood probably has that body nowadays. Ok, Maybe except for that fat dude in Hangover. 

Did I enjoy the movie? Well, yes and no. Memory does play tricks on you sometimes. I remember the whole training scene to be much more inspiring. The part where he runs up the stairs and yelled - It was much better played in my head. It does however, gives you a gist of what life was back then.

Overall, to me, this is Saturday Night Fever with more testosterone. If you want to watch a good boxing movie, I'll recommend The Fighter. It's a l
 
I am trying to watch the whole list in chronological order. I must say, this was a great movie to start with. Well firstly, it was released on the year of my birth and coincidentally the protagonist in the movie, McMurphy is 38 years old.

This isn't the first time I'm watching this, but it holds up to repeated viewing. I'm not going to do any reviews on it as I believe there are tons of it out there. Definitely Oscar-worthy and it was a joy for me to revisit this little gem.

Just got to know that the Gunpla Builders World Cup is just around the corner. Sooner than I expected. Looks like I gotta get to work fast!
